# How long we keep your data

> What we store when you call the API, how long each kind of record is kept, and when it is deleted.

Every kind of data we keep has a fixed lifetime. When it runs out, the data is deleted automatically.

| What | Kept for |
| - | - |
| Request history: each call, its status, cost and timing, as shown in the dashboard | 6 months |
| The response we sent you for each call | 180 days |
| The record of each page we read for you: address, status and quality | 180 days |
| The page content as fetched | 30 days |
| Crawl and batch results | 90 days after the job last changes |
| Credit usage records | 2 years |
| Account and billing records | As long as your account exists, and as long as the law requires afterwards |

## What this means for you

* **Cached answers.** A scrape can be answered from a recent copy of a page for up to 7 days, if you allow it with `maxAge`. See [Caching](https://docs.hydrafetch.com/concepts/caching.md).
* **Old calls in the dashboard.** After 30 days, a call still shows in your request history with the response we sent, but the page content as fetched is no longer available.
* **Polling old jobs.** After 90 days, polling a crawl or batch answers `404`.

## Deleting your account

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the data tied to it, except records we are legally required to keep. See [Your account](https://docs.hydrafetch.com/help/account.md).
