# Your account

> Creating an account, signing in, and what happens when you delete one.

An account gets you a workspace, an API key, and free credits to try the API with. No card is required to start.

## Creating an account

Sign up at [app.hydrafetch.com](https://app.hydrafetch.com) with an email address and password, or with Google.

New workspaces start with free credits:

The credits are for the full API, not a reduced version of it. Every endpoint, every format and MCP are available while you evaluate.

## Signing in with Google

Google sign-in is optional. If you use it, we ask Google for two scopes and no others: `email` and `profile`. Between them these give us your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile picture.

We use those to create your account, recognise you when you return, and contact you about the service. We do not read your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or Contacts, and we request no scope that would let us.

You can disconnect Hydrafetch at any time from your [Google account permissions](https://myaccount.google.com/permissions) page. Doing so stops you signing in with Google, but does not delete your Hydrafetch account.

## Verifying your email

New accounts verify their email address before the API accepts calls. If the message has not arrived after a few minutes, check spam, then request another from the dashboard.

Corporate mail filters are the usual cause. If a second attempt does not arrive, write to [team@hydrafetch.com](mailto:team@hydrafetch.com) from the address you signed up with and we will verify it manually.

## Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the dashboard. Deleting it:

* Revokes every API key in your workspaces immediately, so anything still calling the API with them starts failing
* Cancels any active subscription at the end of the period you have already paid for
* Removes the personal data we hold about you within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to keep it

Deletion is not reversible, and unused credits do not survive it. If you only want to stop being billed, cancel the subscription instead and keep the account.
